Grassi & Co. selected by the HIA-LI as the 2012 Business Achievement Award Winner in the Large Business Category

Grassi & Co. has been selected by the HIA-LI as the 2012 Business Achievement Award Winner in the Large Business (100 or more employees) Category. Other 2012 finalists in the Large Business Category included A&Z Pharmaceuticals Inc., Deloitte LLP and Hess Corp. The criteria in selecting Grassi & Co. as the 2012 recipient included: * Positive employer/employee relations; * Commitment to the growth or betterment of the Long Island business community; * Revenue and profitability trends over the last three years; * Three to five year vision for the company's future; * Recent outstanding accomplishments; * Technical innovation or innovative processes; * Expansion into new markets; * Industry leadership; and * Overcoming adversity On September 12th the Crest Hollow County Club in Woodbury opened its doors to the HIA -LI's 18th Annual Business Achievement Awards Gala Luncheon—recognizing both finalists and winning companies that have successfully met competitive challenges, have had a significant community impact, and have made commitments to growth on Long Island. This event drew more than 400 business leaders from all across Long Island making it one of the best places to do business and build relationships this year. The keynote speaker discussed economic initiatives and what it takes to be a great company on Long Island. "Business today is tough and competitive on Long Island," said Terri Alessi-Miceli, president of the HIA - LI. "Our members' ability to do things better and more effective and understand how important it is to get positive exposure is key. To listen and learn about success stories is critical to their own success."
