Manhattan, NY Goulston & Storrs, an Am Law 200 firm, announced that it is relocating its New York office to 730 Third Ave. on August 1, 2023. The move will increase the firm’s office footprint to 30,000 s/f (up from 25,000) to accommodate Goulston & Storrs’ growing headcount and continued expansion plans. The firm signed a ten-year lease, with renewal options.

Goulston & Storrs’ new office is located in a Class A building owned by Nuveen, a global investment management firm. The building serves as Nuveen’s headquarters. Nuveen recently completed an expansive redevelopment of the building. The list of tenant amenities includes: 5,000 s/f of conferencing facilities, a 7,000 s/f landscaped terrace, a fully equipped fitness center with locker rooms, a dynamic food hall with a rotation of offerings, informal workspaces, and a golf simulator lounge. The office tower also has smart glass windows which help to reduce energy usage, and is LEED Gold, Wired Gold, and Fitwel certified.

Replacing the firm’s current two-floor configuration, the new space brings the Goulston & Storrs New York office together on a single, larger floor, which will allow the firm to enhance collaboration and employee interaction. Individual attorney offices are efficiently designed, creating more space for shared areas where colleagues can communicate, collaborate, and otherwise take advantage of in-person interaction.

“We are very excited about this move. Coming out of the pandemic, we re-assessed our space needs and found that our team highly values spending in-person time together. We selected 730 Third Avenue because it gives us the opportunity to meet this need through the building’s incredible amenities paired with our office space design,” said Hara Perkins, director and administrative head of Goulston & Storrs’ New York office. “It also gives us the room we need to continue to build and grow our New York office, which is a continued focus and priority for our firm.”

“We are thrilled to welcome Goulston & Storrs to 730 Third Ave.,” said Brian Wallick, director, asset management, office, retail and life science at Nuveen. “This move puts the firm in one of the most modern, flexible, efficient, and convenient buildings in one of Manhattan’s largest commercial real estate districts. With full amenities and a location in close proximity to most major public transportation hubs, we meticulously renovated this building to be the complete package.”

Goulston & Storrs opened its New York office in 2003, which is currently home to 45 attorneys and 54 employees total. The firm handles a wide range of corporate, litigation, private client, real estate, and tax matters for clients throughout the country.

“Nuveen has been a wonderful partner throughout this entire process, and we look forward to continuing our relationship with the group as our landlord,” said David Rabinowitz, director at Goulston & Storrs.

New York tri-state multifamily investors are increasingly reallocating capital to less-regulated markets across the U.S. as rent control and legislative risk erode returns at home. The death of the generic offering memorandum: What buyers expect in 2025 - by Kimberly Zar Bloorian

There was a time when an offering memorandum (OM) was pretty bare bones, some photos, a few bullet points on income, and a rent roll thrown in at the back. That used to get the job done. Not anymore. In 2025, buyers are sharper, faster, and more selective. They’re looking
