Golf For Hunger & Pool Party Outing raises a record $475,000 for St. Francis Food Pantries & Shelters

11885094_1058009630877693_8097446161595732108_nLarchmont, NY The St. Francis Food Pantries & Shelters supports a network of charitable programs that provide services for anyone in need, including food, clothing, shelter, and related social services. A highlight annual event for St. Francis is the “Golf For Hunger & Pool Party Outing,” held this year at Bonnie Briar Country Club. On Monday, August 24th, guests enjoyed a day of golf, lounging by the pool, cocktails on the club's terrace and a buffet dinner outdoors on the lawn, all to raise a record $475,000. Jim Phillips, founding principal of TPG Architecture, hosted the outing, which honored Gregory Burke, CEO of Lane Office, a major furniture dealer;  Burke, a strong believer in giving back to the less fortunate, is known for his extensive philanthropic activities. "This breaks our record for fundraising at the golf outing," said Phillips. Joe Sano, managing director, and Father Francis enjoyed the festivities as they represented St. Francis Food Pantries, which will use the funds to fight hunger and to do its good work.
