Goldmacher and Mellina of GNYDC honored

Greater New York Development Corporation's (GNYDC) Roz Goldmacher and Doris Mellina were both honored as Top Women in Business in Queens at a gala event. GNYDC is a nonprofit economic development organization which provides low cost capital and free technical assistance to small businesses and nonprofits. Goldmacher is president/CEO and Mellina is the director of public relations/business development officer. The event was sponsored by The Queens Courier and was held at Terrace on the Park, Queens with over 600 people in attendance. In other news, Goldmacher has been elected to the board of directors of the National Association of Development Companies (NADCO). NADCO is the national trade association of SBA 504 development companies providing 10% low cost second mortgage loans to small business in the nation acquiring their own facilities. Goldmacher's development company has been making 504 loans since inception of the program in 1980 and she also currently serves on the national fiscal board overseeing the funding of the 504 program for SBA.
