Gevinski and Palmese of Massey Knakal broker $1.05 million sale of Brooklyn retail building

A retail building at 1700 Pitkin Ave., located between Rockaway and Thatford Aves. in the Brownsville neighborhood, was sold in an all-cash transaction valued at $1.05 million. The single-story steel structured, brick building contains 2,939 s/f and sits on a 29.46' x 100' lot. It consists of two retail units occupied by Sprint Wireless and Inder Fashion, a clothing store. The sale price equates to approximately $357 per s/f. This property is located on a heavily trafficked area of Pitkin Ave., in proximity to the 3 and C subway lines at the Rockaway Avenue station. "This property represents a solid investment on a prime retail strip of Brownsville," said Massey Knakal's Edward Gevinski, who exclusively handled this transaction with Stephen Palmese.
