Prior to joining the firm, Gauweiler worked as an associate in the Manhatten office of Duval & Stachenfeld, LLP, where she assisted attorneys on all aspects of commercial transactions involving sales, leasing, acquisitions, financings and development, and then as an associate in a Long Island firm representing large private lenders, regional banks and institutional investors on matters involving real estate litigation.
Gauweiler earned her bachelor of arts, summa cum laude, in Sociology from SUNY Cortland in 2005. Her undergraduate honors include membership in the National Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the Alpha Kappa Delta International Sociology Honor Society, and inclusion on the President's List and the Dean's List. She earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Hofstra University School of Law in 2008, where she was a Research Editor on the Hofstra Law Review and Research Assistant to Dean of Hofstra University School of Law, Nora V. Demleitner.
