Garrett joins Rose Associates as associate director of multifamily management

Rose Associates, the New York-based full-service real estate firm, has hired Michael Garrett as associate director of multifamily management. Garrett will be responsible for the supervision of a portfolio of multifamily properties. "Michael has been managing high-end residential properties for more than a decade. He has experience in markets across the United States, with his most recent focus on New York City, Westchester, Fairfield and northern New Jersey," said Mitchell Gelberg, senior managing director at Rose. "He will be a great addition to our multifamily management division, which continues to expand its portfolio of rental and owner-occupied buildings in New York City." Garrett has 18 years of management experience. He most recently acted as regional manager for Equity Residential where he oversaw more than 1,800 apartments and 63 employees. While at Equity Residential, Garrett managed properties in Manhattan and Tarrytown, NY; Stamford and Norwalk, CT, and Cherry Hill, South Plainfield and West New York, NJ. His previous employers include Oakwood Worldwide and Hyatt Hotels. A graduate of Michigan State, Garrett earned his MBA in finance from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
