Gamco ranks among top architectural metal companies

Queens, NY Leading regional architectural metal and fenestration fabricator Gamco Corp. has once again received industry recognition as a Top Architectural Metal Company. For the ninth year in a row, national trade periodical Glass Magazine has included Gamco in its 2021 list of Top Metal Companies ranked by number of employees, published in its November/December 2021 issue. With 66 employees, Gamco ranked 19th out of the 26 national and international firms to make the list. Along with Gamco, this year’s list includes industry leaders Oldcastle Building Envelope, Kawneer, CR Laurence, and YKK AP America.

“We’re growing Gamco to become a modernized and resilient organization, and I’m confident that with the bold, bright, and diverse team we’re building here, Gamco will move towards a greener, more innovative future,” said Lelina Chang, who runs operations and serves as president of Gamco.

“We are thrilled to be part of Glass Magazine’s annual list of Top Architectural Metal Companies for the 9th year in a row. We are the only company on the list headquartered in New York, proving that despite its challenges, the region offers a great location for our design and fabrication operations.”

Gamco products are part of many notable projects in the New York area, such as the recently renovated Harlem Victoria Hotel and Residence, the Renaissance NY Chelsea Hotel, concourses at Newark Liberty International Airport, and several office buildings across the tri-state area.

“Gamco continuously served the architectural and construction community as it recovered from the drastic impact of the pandemic, and this past year was very positive for us,” said Melora Chang, Vice President of Gamco. “We found a way to move forward and help others during the pandemic with a specialty product called Invisiguard, which served as a chic glass partition to help combat the spread of the virus. Gamco also launched a major initiative to enhance the energy efficiency of our product lines. For example, our upgraded curtain wall product, the Series CW250P, now offers significantly better thermal performance capable of meeting today’s demanding energy efficient applications. Several other newly improved products are currently being developed and introduced.”

Gamco Corp., a New York City and State certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), is in the process of certifying as a New York State Minority Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE). The company offers one of the broadest product lines of the companies on the Top Metal Companies list. Gamco custom manufactures complete systems for storefronts, curtain walls, window walls, railings, entrance ways, skylights, canopies, interior glass walls, solariums, sunrooms, and a broad array of exterior and interior metal components. In 2021, Gamco celebrated its 35th Anniversary since beginning operations.
