Gamco's Architectural Sunshade System - tubular style.

Gamco Corp., one of the New York metro area's leading manufacturers of special fenestration products and architectural metals, now offers a line of basic and custom architectural sunshades. The various styles and configurations available make the Gamco Architectural Sunshades adaptable to a wide variety of building envelopes. Gamco Sunshades have already been installed on several New York area new construction and renovation building projects.
Architectural sunshades have become one of the most popular new energy efficiency products for commercial, retail, multifamily and institutional buildings. Through proper design and placement in accordance with building sun orientation, architects use sunshades to reduce solar heat gain and improve energy performance while still providing superior natural day lighting.
Gamco's sunshade systems include pre-engineered louver blades, outrigger supports and mounting brackets. The sunshade blades are offered in several standard and custom shapes, including tubular profiles. Fabricated from strong, lightweight aluminum, the sunshade blades are available in anodized or a wide variety of painted finishes.
Outriggers are available in standard depths of 24" and 30", as well as custom sizes, in either stainless or painted steel to assure strength and durability. Gamco's adaptable mounting bracket systems are used to securely anchor the sunshade outriggers to the building façade - be it curtainwall, storefront, masonry or other material.
Gamco Architectural Sunshades can be pre-configured to accommodate 90° and virtually any other inside or outside corner a project demands. This exciting new product line is designed and manufactured to be not only visually appealing but strong, durable and able to withstand the most severe wind, weather, snow and dead load conditions.
It is also important for progressive building owners, developers and architects to note that sunshades may contribute towards the accrual of LEED credits in three categories:
- Energy and Atmosphere - Optimize Energy Performance
- Indoor Environment Quality - Daylight and Views
- Materials and Resources - Recycled Content
Gamco Architectural Sunshades are also manufactured in New York in very close proximity to metro area projects, which reduces transportation requirements.
