New York, NY Fisher Brothers finalized a lease extension with Katsky Korins LLP at 605 Third Ave., its 1.1 million s/f office tower in Midtown Manhattan. The extension, which encompasses 19,871 s/f across the entire 17th floor, will keep the firm at 605 Third Ave. through mid-2032.

Fisher Brothers was represented in-house by Marc Packman and Clark Briffel. Katsky Korins was represented by Oliver Katcher of Indigo Property Holdings, LLC.

Since the reveal of a $25 million capital improvement program at 605 Third Avenue in early 2016, Fisher Brothers has secured over 540,000 s/f of new leases and renewals. The tower is 99% leased.

A tenant at the tower since 1988, Katsky Korins is one of the longest-standing general practice law firms of its size in New York City.  The firm’s practice is spread across all major fields of commercial work including litigation, real estate, corporate and tax.

“At Fisher Brothers, we strive to stay ahead of the curve in cultivating innovative and highly-amentized office environments. As a result of this approach, 605 Third Ave. continues to attract and retain some of the city’s most respected and successful firms,” said Fisher Brothers partner Ken Fisher. “Katsky Korins has been a valued tenant for over three decades, and we are pleased we could accommodate their move to new and upgraded space within the tower.”

Designed by David Rockwell and Rockwell Group, the centerpiece of the renovation project was the creation of a brand new building entrance and a more spacious and inviting lobby, highlighted by a sleek feature wall composed of brass panels. In addition, David Rockwell and the LAB at Rockwell Group worked with Fisher Brothers to install two oversized digital glass windows in the lobby that are designed to function as giant kaleidoscopes and serve as a form of public art.

To further enhance the experience, Fisher Brothers collaborated with Convene’s experienced team of hospitality professionals to create a full-service tenant amenity center on the seventh floor of 605 Third Ave. The Wi-Fi-enabled space, which opened in the spring of 2019, features a barista-serviced café with a curated selection of culinary offerings and a chef station.  With its outdoor terraces, lounge, communal areas, huddle rooms with video conference capabilities and private phone booths, the center provides building tenants a wide array of options to work, relax and recharge.  The tenant amenity center shares the floor with Convene’s conference center, which offers a range of workspaces, meeting areas and boardrooms.

Originally built by Fisher Brothers in 1963, 605 Third Ave. is certified LEED Gold by the U.S. Green Building Council for its highly efficient and environmentally sustainable working environment. Located between East 39th and 40th Sts., the class-A tower’s esteemed tenant roster includes Broadridge Financial Solutions, Informa, Univision, AECOM, Davidoff Hutcher & Citron LLP, and the United Nations Population Fund.
