Fisher Bros. leases 11,439 s/f at 299 Park Ave.

Manhattan, NY According to Fisher Brothers, Freeman Spogli & Co. has signed a 10-year lease renewal at 299 Park Ave. in Midtown. Freeman Spogli & Co., a private equity firm and current tenant of 299, will expand its current lease to occupy 11,439 s/f on the 20th floor starting in early 2023.

Marc Packman, head of leasing, Clark Briffel, senior director of Leasing, Charles Laginestra, director of leasing, and Josh Fisher, assistant director of leasing at Fisher Brothers led negotiations for Fisher Brothers. Freeman Spogli & Co. was represented by Ken Rapp and Michael Liss from CBRE.

“We are excited to continue our partnership with Freeman Spogli & Co. as they grow their footprint at 299 Park Avenue,” said Ken Fisher, partner at Fisher Brothers. “We have made significant capital improvements across our portfolio in recent years which allow us to continue to offer our tenants a best in class office experience.”

Indicative of the firm’s commitment to providing a best-in-class office experience, Fisher Brothers invested $20 million in a large-scale capital improvement project at 299 Park Ave. in late 2020. The renovations transformed the interior of the lobby space and exterior facade and upgraded the building’s elevators. In partnership with the Rockwell Group, Fisher Brothers created a grand, bright and inviting interior with hotel-like design, quality and finishes. The renovations and upgrades to the lobby boast several design features that culminate to create a luxury hospitality feel, including blackened stainless-steel trims and accents, Italian marble flooring, and soft up lighting in the base. Furthermore, the entire renovation centers around a large-scale, dynamic digital art display. Created by LAB at Rockwell Group, the 60 ft. long LED art installation Living Canvas brings an ever-evolving cinematic art experience to Park Ave.

For years, Fisher Brothers has taken a proactive approach to tenant health and well-being, undertaking building-wide infrastructure upgrades, like hospital-grade air filtration systems and Bluetooth technology for a contact-free entry experience. Fisher Brothers was recognized for achieving WELL Health Safety Rating certification from the International WELL Building Institute across its entire New York City commercial portfolio, including 299 Park.
