Faltischek elected vice chair of the Long Island Association

According to Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., founding partner Michael Faltischek has been elected vice chair of the Long Island Association (LIA). Faltischek has served as a member of the board of directors for more than ten years and presently serves on its executive committee, as well as its finance committee. The LIA's mission is to lead and unify the region in order to strengthen Long Island as a place to live, work, and do business. Founded over 80 years ago, the LIA vigorously advocates the interests of, and promotes cooperation among, the business, labor, educational, scientific, technology, not-for profit and civic communities. Faltischek is a member of the corporate and securities department at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek. He advises entrepreneurs and business enterprises in corporate finance, governance, mergers and acquisitions, succession planning and international business transactions. Faltischek founded and is chair of the law firm's Energy Practice Group, providing diverse legal services that focus on the unique needs of the energy industry and its ongoing efforts to satisfy the energy needs of the regional marketplace. In 2009, he joined the advisory board of The Institute for Energy Law, an international organization comprised of the world's leading energy companies and attorneys. In 2007, Faltischek helped found the Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center, a hub of energy-related research at Stony Brook University, Brookhaven National Laboratory and other institutions. He serves as vice chairman of its advisory board. He is a founding member and chairman of the Long Island Angel Network, a forum for entrepreneurs, investors and businesses to examine investment opportunities in new technologies.
