EP Inspections & Commissioning expands with licensed structural engineer

Vakhtang Tamasidze

Manhattan, NY EP Inspections & Commissioning (EPIC), a special inspections agency is expanding its in-house capabilities with the hiring of a licensed structural professional engineer, Vakhtang Tamasidze.

With this strategic addition to the team, EPIC now performs structural inspections entirely in-house — eliminating the need for subcontracted services. This development marks a milestone for the firm, particularly in the city, where structural inspections are critical to public safety and compliance.

Vakhtang is an ICC Master Special Inspector, having inspection certifications in structural steel bolting and welding, reinforced concrete, masonry, as well as for, spray-applied fireproofing, soils, and more.

Most recently, he authored an article a case study on existing New York townhouses for a publication by the Structural Engineers Association of New York. He is also a certified Cal OES Safety Assessment Program Evaluator.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Vakhtang to the EPIC team,” said Evan Parganos, P.E. at EPIC. “His deep structural engineering expertise and commitment to excellence align perfectly with our mission to expand and strengthen our in-house capabilities. Vakhtang’s addition marks an important step forward as we continue to elevate the quality and scope of our professional services across New York and beyond.”

This expansion underscores EPIC’s ongoing commitment to excellence and elevating the standard of technical reporting and reinforcing its position as a trusted advisor in the built environment.
