EP Inspections + Commissioning delivers special inspections for Hinomi’s showroom

Manhattan, NY EP Inspections + Commissioning (EPIC) was engaged to perform a full scope of TR1 and TR8 special inspections, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance across building systems for Hinomi, a global leader in ergonomic seating solutions.

The TR1 inspections included mechanical systems, sprinkler systems, post-installed anchors, energy code compliance, and fire-resistant penetrations and joints, while the TR8 inspections addressed HVAC-R equipment and controls, service water heating systems, piping design and insulation, duct leakage testing, lighting power, lighting controls, and maintenance information.

By delivering these inspections, EPIC supported Hinomi in bringing its showroom to life, while ensuring that the space is code compliant.

Hinomi has opened its first U.S. showroom at 500 Lexington Ave., near Grand Central Station. 

the new showroom brings Hinomi’s innovative office and gaming chairs to one of the busiest business and retail hubs in the country.

Founded on a mission to redefine the modern workspace, Hinomi is dedicated to designing chairs that optimize well-being through advanced posture research and spinal support systems. The company’s passion stems from the personal experiences of its founders, who dealt with backaches and body pain and set out to create products that provide lasting comfort and support.
