Empire State Development provides $550,000 grant to SKF Aeroengine as part of a $3.7 facility upgrade
Empire State Development Corp. has granted $550,000 toward the expansion of SKF Aeroengine, an aerspace manufacturer. The grant was obtained through NYS's Manufacturing Assistance Program (MAP).
SKF Aeroengine plans to begin a $3.7 million upgrade of its facilities. New machinery will be purchased with the funds.
MAP helps companies, employing 50 to 1,000 workers, by investing in capital projects designed to improve productivity and competitiveness. MAP can provide grants up to $1 million.
