"With strong roots in central New York, Sensis Corp. is one of Upstate's premier success stories," said Paterson. "The company has consistently outperformed, surpassing employment projections. With increasing demand in the U.S. and Europe for air traffic control systems, Sensis Corp. continues to project rapid growth. The company's expansion in East Syracuse means that we will both retain and create needed jobs. We are committed to projects targeted at revitalizing upstate New York, and Sensis Corp., is just one example."
The project will consolidate the company's central New York operations through an 180,000 s/f facilities expansion at the existing Collamer Crossings Business Park location. The project will involve a 30,000 s/f expansion to the existing building and the construction of a new 150,000 s/f building adjacent to the existing building. Collamer Crossings is a Build Now N.Y. site, and is ready to go in terms of pre-development work and infrastructure. The expansion would accommodate future growth and add 300 more employees, including engineers, computer scientists and technology support personnel. The company, which anticipates its co-location of operations and workforce into one facility, will yield significant productivity gains. In addition, the creation of a 44-acre campus-like setting at Collamer Crossings would enhance recruitment efforts.
ESD president & CEO Marisa Lago said, "Retaining and growing this company in NYS is a critical regional priority.
