Empire State Development appoints Wohl as the Capital Region director

According to Empire State Development co-chairmen Daniel Gundersen and Patrick Foye, Peter Wohl has accepted the position of ESD's regional director for the Capital Region. Wohl will manage operations of ESD's Capital Region office on a day-to-day basis in concert with long term strategic goals. He will also be responsible for engaging in problem solving, pro-active planning and management of staff and resources. Currently, Wohl serves as VP of the Economic Development Corp., Warren County, where he has led organizational efforts to strengthen local and regional economies through the application of integrated economic, workforce and community development strategies and initiatives. Wohl is also the president of the Warren County Local Development Corp. Wohl earned a bachelor of science degree in Human Development and Social Policy from Northwestern University and a master's degree in Public Policy from the University of California at Berkeley. He also served as a Public Affairs Fellow with the Coro Foundation in N.Y.C.
