According to VHB, a planning, transportation, land development, and environmental services firm with five offices in N.Y. and N.J., Terri Elkowitz has been named the regional environmental managing director for N.Y. and N.J. She will be responsible for leading the strategic direction of VHB's growing environmental practice in the region. Collaborating with leadership in each office, she will promote the consistent delivery of environmental skills and services to existing and prospective clients in the private and public sectors.
"Elkowitz joined VHB as a result of its merger with Freudenthal & Elkowitz Consulting Group in Jan. 2009, and she has helped make VHB among the most respected and sought-after environmental consulting firms on L.I.," said Tom Lucivero, northeast regional manager of VHB.
With more than 25 years of experience, Elkowitz directs environmental permitting, planning, and advisory services for municipalities, institutions, and property developers, and formerly served as Chairperson of the Suffolk County Council on Environmental Quality and the Suffolk County Historic Trust.
