DXA studio welcomes Lee, Witteman, and Gao

New York, NY DXA studio welcomed Janghee Lee, Alex Witteman, and Xiaoyi Gao as junior designers.

Lee will focus on the relationships between architectural design and public space as well as architectural scale regeneration through design. He received his Bachelor of Architecture at the Namseoul University and Master of Architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design. In his experience, Lee has been involved in all phases of the design process from schematic design to construction management for a variety of projects from retail, single and multifamily residences in NY. 

Witteman received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Witteman joins following a 2017 internship with DXA. The son of an architect, his passion for the built environment has always been palpable even from a young age. He has also worked for Hord-Coplan-Macht out of Alexandria Va and KPF in New York City. 

Following her Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology in China, Gao continued to pursue her master’s degree of Design in Advanced Architecture Design (MSD, AAD) at University of Pennsylvania. Before joining DXA, Gao worked at the BIG Copenhagen office as an architectural intern, on projects including Copenhagen Panda House and Noma Restaurant, and at Robert Siegel Architects in New York.

“We are pleased that DXA studio is moving forward on a number of projects from New York City to metro DC and we are thrilled to have these three new team members join us to support our efforts at this exciting time of expansion in the firm,” said Wayne Norbeck, a partner at DXA studio.
