According to the law firm of Moritt Hock & Hamroff, Theresa Driscoll, Brett Garver, and Stephen Turman have been named of counsel to the firm. All were formerly associates of the firm.
Driscoll concentrates her practice in the area of bankruptcy and creditors' rights. Since 2000, Driscoll has been representing debtors, lenders, investors, trustees and secured and unsecured creditors in Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 cases both locally and nationally.
Driscoll earned her J.D., cum laude, from St. John's University School of Law. She serves on the Board of Directors of Turnaround Management Association-Long Island Chapter (TMA-LI) and is also member of the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) and the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC).
Garver concentrates his practice in the area of corporate law. His practice includes the representation of companies in connection with purchases and sales of businesses, mergers and acquisitions and equity transactions.
He also represents secured lenders, banks and borrowers in a wide range of transactions including negotiation, documentation and the closing of asset based lending and commercial credit facilities. Garver earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. He is a member of the Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys (ACFA).
Stephen Turman concentrates his practice in the representation of clients in complex commercial litigation, bankruptcy, creditors' rights and trusts and estates litigation. He has extensive trial and appellate experience, having worked on a number of high profile cases pending before state and federal courts throughout the country.
He has also represented clients in FINRA arbitrations and in other alternative dispute resolution forums. Turman earned his J.D. from Cornell Law School. In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Turman has been a member of the Nassau County Board of Ethics since 2007.
