Developing Brooklyn:
Bergen Brooklyn

Brooklyn, NY Designed by Taller Frida Escobedo, with master planning by DXA Studio, residential interiors by Workstead, and landscape design by DXA Studio and Patrick Cullina, Bergen balances the line of standing out and blending in introducing a fresh new architectural gem to Brooklyn while honoring the integrity of the neighborhood. Nestled into a serene tree-lined street in Boerum Hill, Bergen features 105 studios through five-bedroom condominium residences inspired by a fundamental way of living that celebrates the imperfect qualities of life. Composed of handmade geometric modules, the façade elegantly weaves light, shadow, and air throughout the home, revealing crafted finishes and celebrating the natural environment. The residential offering includes a collection of penthouses and townhouse-style units, and 75% of residences include private outdoor space.

To firmly ground Bergen in its community, Avdoo & Partners partnered with community talents and local businesses to offer one-of-a-kind amenity spaces. The building’s central volume, the Glass House, features over 14,500 s/f of interior amenities that channel health, wellness, community, and the arts to create a sense of belonging, including a tea room with Kettl, a ceramic studio with BKLYN CLAY, an art studio with Arts Gowanus, among others. Residents also have access to 12,000 s/f of exterior amenities, including a tranquil, forest-like park on Dean St. and two common rooftop parks designed by DXA Studio and Patrick Cullina.
