DeSimone named Architecture & Engineering
MVP at Deltek ProjectCon 2023

Manhattan, NY DeSimone Consulting Engineering has been named Architecture & Engineering MVP at Deltek ProjectCon 2023. The award recognizes DeSimone’s use of technology to improve efficiencies and integrate new offices and personnel as it continues its global growth.

Over the past three years, Desimone has acquired six businesses, adding eight new offices. During this period, the DeSimone team has grown from 252 to over 640, with one acquisition adding 240 employees to it’s organization. While this has expanded the company’s global reach, enabling it to offer a comprehensive mix of services, it also demanded consolidation of different business lines and operating systems under one DeSimone brand. 

DeSimone’s Shared Services team was tasked with unifying all new employees, projects, financial data and new practice areas across a variety of additional consulting services, including litigation support, forensics, claims management, building modeling, integrated design and detailing, and protective design.

The team used Deltek’s Vantagepoint software to integrate data from these newly merged companies and practices into a single, unified system in a process that took eight weeks rather than the historical timeframe of 12 to 18 months. 

Tony Manuelli, DeSimone’s chief financial - operating officer, said, “DeSimone is in the midst of a strategic global expansion that has seen our teammate count double through mergers as well as organic growth. Deltek has provided us with a competitive advantage, enabling us to grow quickly and have information to drive business development and corporate decision making.”

“Deltek has been a partner in our mission to integrate new companies and service lines quickly and efficiently while sharing operational and financial data with all employees across one platform,” added Shannon Nolan, DeSimone’s senior director of operations, who led the integration effort and collected with award with Jennifer Martinez, DeSimone’s manager, strategic initiatives & PMO, at the annual ProjectCon event in Florida on Monday, Oct. 16, that attracted some 3,500 attendees.
