DePaula joins Certilman Balin as an associate

GinaMarie DePaula joined the banking and commercial lending group at Certilman Balin as an associate. She is the 2012 recipient of the Certilman Balin/Hofstra Law School Honors Scholarship. As part of this award, during her second year of law school, she interned in the banking and commercial lending dept. at the firm, and then was hired as a legal clerk during her third year. In addition to her experience working at Certilman Balin, she has served as a legal intern and extern at the Town of North Hempstead, town attorney's office. She also worked as a human resources assistant in the department of human resources for Andrew's International Security in Manhattan. A staff editor on Hofstra Law Review, DePaula also made the dean's list, was a recipient of the Dean's Scholars Program and Scholarship, and was honored with the Excellence in Contracts. She was a member of Phi Alpha Delta International Law Fraternity and Hofstra Law Women. She also worked at the Hofstra Child Advocacy Clinic. A 2009 graduate of Binghamton University, DePaula earned a bachelor of arts in History and Philosophy, Politics and Law. While at Binghamton, she participated in the Johnson City Mentor Program and the Harpur College Council Studies Abroad Program in Florence, Italy, during the summer of 2009. She earned her juris doctor from Hofstra Law School in 2013, and is admitted to practice in the state of New York.
