Cushman & Wakefield arranges 6,700 s/f lease for Saatva

New York, NY Cushman & Wakefield arranged a 6,700 s/f lease for Saatva at 893 Broadway. The tenant, an e-commerce company that specializes in mattresses, will occupy the ground, mezzanine and lower level of the property. The Flatiron location will be Saatva’s second in Manhattan, joining the flagship at 969 Third Ave.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Sean Moran, Chris Schwart and Steven Soutendijk represented the landlord, RCLCO. CBRE’s Greg Covey and Joseph Hudson represented the tenant.

“Located in the heart of New York City’s home furnishing retail corridor, this repositioned asset is the perfect fit for Saatva,” said Moran. “The Flatiron District continues to be a key submarket for retailers, and we are thrilled to have worked with RCLCO to complete our seventh deal in the neighborhood in the past 24 months.”

“As a brand born in New York, we could not be more delighted to open a new location in our hometown. Historically the Flatiron has been a crossroads for innovative design and commerce, and we are excited to bring to the neighborhood an immersive shopping experience devoted to healthy, quality sleep and sustainable home furnishings,” said Ron Rudzin, founder and CEO of Saatva.

893 Broadway is an architecturally significant building featuring double-height ceilings and 28 feet of frontage on Broadway. The Saatva space, formerly occupied by a restaurant, will be reimagined by architecture firm studioTROIKA and interior design firm Hines Collective.
