Crystal Windows expands color palette for window and doors

Queens, NY National manufacturer Crystal Window & Door Systems now offers nearly twice the number of stock architectural colors for its aluminum window and door products. 20 stock colors are available in durable AAMA 2604 and an additional 16 are available in even more durable AAMA 2605 powder coat finish. (Note some of the 2604 colors are optionally available in the upgraded 2605 finish.) The new Crystal brochure with the entire palette of stock aluminum colors is available on the company website, www.crystalwindows.com. Beyond these stock colors, Crystal has capabilities to supply any custom color.

“Based on architectural trends and customer preferences, we have increased our broad palette of color choices for our customers,” said Sabrina Leung, manager of Crystal’s Architectural Window Division and R&D. “Our aluminum extrusion subsidiary uses a state-of-the art vertical powder coat system, so colors can be changed out very easily and with little production interruption. This means Crystal can offer an incredible array of colors with minimal impact on order lead times.”

VOC-free powder coat painting is a significantly more environmentally sustainable process than traditional liquid painting and has gained popularity in the US in recent years. Crystal and its extrusion subsidiary were early adopters of powder coating and have continued to invest in the technology and equipment to provide the durable, consistent, quality finishes their customers expect.

In addition to basic standard colors, (white, black, and bronze) customers can choose beiges, greys, greens, and many others. Current popular Crystal architectural colors range from Revolutionary (red) and Newport Blue, which complement more historic and traditional properties, to Champagne Gold and Simulated Anodized Silver for more contemporary architecture.

Beyond these 36 popular stock colors, Crystal’s capabilities for custom colors are limitless. “We work with the most notable paint product suppliers, including Sherwin-Williams and TCI,” said Leung. “For special unique architectural design needs, our suppliers can match virtually any color required. We can also handle those rare unique project requests that require liquid paint finishes. Speak with your Crystal representative to learn how we can meet your custom color and color matching requirements.”

Most people think of St. Patrick’s Day as a fun footnote on the calendar. In construction logistics, however, it’s a full-scale operational variable — especially if your work touches major metro areas with major parades and, let’s call it what it is, enthusiastic celebrants.
