Crystal Window launches new vinyl sliding patio door

Queens, NY Crystal Window & Door Systems, the award-winning national manufacturer, recently introduced its new Series 1600 vinyl sliding patio door. The new door offers notable advancements over previous Crystal vinyl sliding door models, including superior thermal and structural performance as well as three- and four-panel options. The new Crystal patio door is well suited for residential and light commercial applications.

“While the Crystal Series 1600 offers beauty, energy efficiency, durability, and strength, it is the three and four panel options that will make this product a winner with homeowners and contractors,” said Steven Yu, Crystal’s vice president of sales and marketing. “With new homes and home renovations, the market is demanding larger patio door openings to provide greater light and access to outdoor spaces. Crystal’s new patio door with options for multiple operating and fixed vision panels more than satisfies that demand.” Available standard as a two-panel door (XO, OX), the Crystal Series 1600 vinyl patio door can facilitate more dramatic openings with 3-panel (OXO, XOO, OOX) and 4-panel (OXXO) options.

The Crystal Series 1600 vinyl thermally efficient patio door features a 4-?” deep frame with integral nailing fin and J-channel to accept siding. The robust multi-chamber corner welded frames and sashes also feature heavy-gauge steel reinforced meeting rails and double weatherstripping. The new Crystal door is structurally rated at LC-PG 35/50 (2- and 3-lite) and R-PG30 (4-lite).

The new Crystal Series 1600 can accommodate large openings, with heights up to 102” and widths up to 192”, depending on door models. The door panel operations can also be reversed in the field. An extruded aluminum locking mesh screen is standard. The Crystal Series 1600 vinyl patio door opens easily with adjustable steel tandem rollers and a strong interior locking handle. A key lock cylinder option is available.

With 1” glazing pocket, the new Crystal Series 1600 vinyl patio door comes standard with double strength tempered dual pane insulated glass units (IGUs). For even greater thermal performance, low-E coated glass, argon gas filling, and triple glass are available options. U-values in the range of 0.27 to 0.28 are achieved with typical thermal enhancement options, and as low as 0.23 when even more advanced thermal options are specified. Between-the-glass and exterior applied grids complete the style choices.

Besides the standard extruded white vinyl, a broad palette of optional custom colors for the Crystal Series 1600 makes it possible to match or accent any home’s exterior.

Most people think of St. Patrick’s Day as a fun footnote on the calendar. In construction logistics, however, it’s a full-scale operational variable — especially if your work touches major metro areas with major parades and, let’s call it what it is, enthusiastic celebrants.
