Crystal Window & Door introduces new vinyl window line Series 800

Queens, NY The latest new window line from national manufacturer Crystal Window & Door Systems, the vinyl Series 800, provides solutions for new construction, expansion, and renovation construction challenges. This complete family of single-hung window styles offers superior aesthetics, energy efficiency, ventilation, ease of installation, and dramatic dark finish options.

Another added feature of the Crystal Series 800 is its availability in FusionCoreTM capstock co-extruded black or bronze finishes.

Available in single-hung, two- and three-lite slider, fixed/picture, and hopper styles, with ratings up to DP-50, the Crystal Series 800 appeals to those involved with residential and light commercial new construction, addition, and rehabilitation projects. The new window line is fully compliant with the federal Build America, Buy America (BABA) Act for domestic sourcing of components and materials.

The Crystal Series 800 windows all feature fusion-welded multi-chamber sashes and frames, 2-⅞” jamb depth and integral 1-¼” nailing fin. The single-hung models offer an easy to clean tilt-in bottom sash, constant force coil balances, continuous lift rail, and triple-seal weatherstripping at the sloped sill. Maximum sizes for the single-hung are as large as 48” x 84” for equal top and bottom sashes and 48” x 96” for single-hung oriel configurations. The Series 800 single-hung is structurally rated R-PG50/LC-PG35 and thermally rated as low as U=0.25 with appropriate glazing options.

To greatly ease and speed installation at the jobsite, a master frame with intermediate jamb option facilitates twin and triple combinations of single-hung and fixed/picture windows.

The Series 800 slider window has removable sashes and comes in both 2- and 3-lite models. The sliding window is rated R-PG30 with U-values as low as 0.24. The structural rating for the fixed/picture window model is LC-PG50, also with great thermal performance and U-values as low as 0.22.

The Crystal Series 800 windows have a ¾” glazing pocket which can accept standard double-glass IGUs or optional triple-glass units. For enhanced energy efficiency, options include low-E glass coatings and argon gas filling.

An exciting feature of the Series 800 vinyl window line is the availability of rich, vibrant FusionCoreTM dark finishes. FusionCore, a new specially formulated capstock finish, is available on the Series 800 frames in black or bronze. This quality finish has been engineered to provide enhanced durability, color retention, and weather resistance while maintaining a modern appearance. Far superior to traditional painted finishes, the FusionCore technology features superior UV resistance, reduced fading, warping, and surface wear while delivering low maintenance and long-term performance for all building types.

FusionCoreTM finishes are offered in two options: basic FusionCore provides a co-extruded two-tone finish with a capstock black (or bronze) exterior and a white interior. FusionCore MaxTM provides a dramatic mono-tone co-extruded capstock dark finish on both the interior and exterior window frame surfaces. Both finish options are warrantied for 10 years. The standard finish for the Series 800 windows is an extruded white. Other extruded color choices, beige and clay, are coming soon.

Accessories and options for the Crystal Series 800 will be greatly valued by home occupants, designers and architects, and installation trade professionals. The Series 800 operating windows may be optionally fitted with ½ screens, sash vent locks, an ADA meeting rail lock option, and window opening limit stops. All the Series 800 offer between-the-glass and exterior applied grid options.

Exterior installation accessories include snap-on brick mould, flush fin, and Florida flange. Snap-on interior drywall return and extension jamb liner clip accessories expedite finishing the window interior opening, providing a clean, beautiful trim.
