Cotton of PANYNJ recieves ACEC New York’s Chairman’s Award

The 2018-19 ACEC New York board of directors.

New York, NY The American Council of Engineering Companies of New York (ACEC New York) presented the 2018 Chairman’s Award to Rick Cotton, the executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. This award was presented at the council’s annual meeting and awards luncheon at the Union League Club in New York City on June 6th. 

Additionally at this luncheon, for the first time in the award’s history, two candidates received the designation of Engineer of the Year: Andrew Ciancia, P.E., LEED AP, D.GE, F.ASCE, Langan Engineering; and Linda Shumaker, P.E., president/managing principal, Shumaker Consulting Engineering. Brian Towers, P.E., Jaros, Baum & Bolles was named the New Principal of the Year.

Also at the luncheon, ACEC New York inducted a new slate of officers and directors. All officers’ and directors’ terms began on July 1st.
