CoreNet NYC hosts annual meeting

New York, NY The CoreNet Global New York City Chapter hosted its annual meeting and keynote presentation, bringing together professionals across the CRE sector for an evening of insight, networking, and future-focused dialogue. The evening began with a networking session, followed by the annual meeting portion exclusively for members, during which CoreNet NYC Chapter Leadership shared updates on the current state of the chapter.

Following the annual meeting, the evening featured a compelling keynote presentation by Dror Poleg, author of Rethinking Real Estate and leading voice on the transformation of cities, homes, and offices in the digital era, which captivated attendees with a deep dive into the evolving real estate landscape.

With a background in private equity and technology, Dror shared insights from his two decades of experience advising industry giants such as UBS, Bank of America, HSBC, and CBRE. Drawing from his research and contributions to The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and Bloomberg, he explored the major forces reshaping the built environment — from the rise of hybrid work to the future of urban development.

Dror’s presentation challenged conventional thinking and emphasized how businesses, investors, and policymakers must adapt to remain competitive in the new real estate era. He offered practical guidance on understanding the new economics of space, navigating shifting demand, and leveraging emerging technologies to shape the cities and workplaces of tomorrow.

The event concluded with an engaging Q&A and additional networking, allowing attendees to connect around the ideas discussed and reflect on how to integrate them into their own professional practices.

As the CRE industry continues to evolve, CoreNet NYC remains committed to bringing timely, thought-provoking programming to its members. Events like this annual meeting, held at Convene’s 1 Liberty Plaza, reinforce the Chapter’s dedication to driving innovation, fostering community, and preparing its members for the future of work and real estate.
