Cooper Square Project Mgmt. completing work at 1200 Fifth Ave.

Cooper Square Project Management, Inc. is completing work as project manager for the major renovation of 1200 Fifth Ave., a 17-story prewar building at 101st St. The 57-unit building is converting from a rental to a condominium. Work began in spring 2007 and is scheduled for completion in early spring 2008. Cooper Square Project Management is supervising five contractors and numerous subcontractors in a major overall of all systems including the HVAC system, water supply, elevators and electrical work as well as a new lobby, exit and entrance. The building will be handicapped accessible. The company is also overseeing the installation of a gym, storage area and new laundry room. The completely renovated luxury apartments will have marble bathrooms, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances in the kitchens and hardwood floors throughout. Units range from 598 s/f for a studio to a penthouse triplex with 6,255 s/f.
