Consumer Reports signs 8,189 s/f lease at 675 Third Ave.

New York, NY According to The Durst Organization, Consumer Reports (CR) has signed a two-year lease for 8,189 s/f on the second floor of 675 Third Ave. Consumer Reports is headquartered in Yonkers, New York.

675 Third Ave. is located at the northeast corner of 42nd St. and Third Ave. and steps from Grand Central Station. New windows improve the comfort level of tenants and significantly increase the energy efficiency of the building envelope, and replacement of original perimeter induction units also contribute to enhanced energy efficiency in addition to providing more precise climate controls. Other significant renovations include a new plaza with a zinc green wall feature, an updated entrance, refurbished lobby, and renovated elevator cabs.

“We are pleased Consumer Reports has selected 675 Third Ave. for their first Manhattan office,” said Jonathan Durst, president of The Durst Organization. “675 is in the heart of Midtown Manhattan and provides Consumer Reports with a direct connection to their main office in Yonkers via Metro North. Soon, Long Island commuters will have direct access to Grand Central when the LIRR East Side Access project is completed later this year creating more options for accessing Third Ave. and Midtown East.”

The Durst Organization was represented in-house by managing director Lauren Ferrentino and senior managing director Ashlea Aaron.
