Consolo, Aquino and Maglio of Douglas Elliman broker 1,800 s/f retail lease to Moe's Sneaker Spot
The leasing team of Faith Hope Consolo, chairman, Joseph Aquino, executive vice president, and Arthur Maglio of Douglas Elliman's Retail Group has arranged an 1,800 s/f long-term lease for Moe's Sneaker Spot at 1890 Adam Clayton Powell Blvd., on the southwest corner of 115th St. It is the second borough location for the expanding retailer, which presently operates a dozen stores throughout NY and NJ, including units in major shopping malls and open-air lifestyle centers such as The Shops at Riverside in Hackensack and The Shops at Atlas Park in Glendale.
Consolo, Aquino and Maglio represented the tenant and landlord, Tahl Propp Equities. The current space is located at the base of newly converted pre-war condominium, it is anticipated that Moe's Sneaker Spot will open in the fall.
"This is an especially strong corner for sports shoes and active apparel, close to both Central Park and Morningside Park," said Consolo. "In recent years, we have been responsible for dozens of leases in this immediate area and this is where the 'shoe fits' best!"
Maglio said, "In addition to a great overall selection, Moe's Sneaker Spot is an authorized Nike retailer with the rights to sell the brand's products in Harlem south of 125th St. This is a valuable merchant for the area and solidifies the confidence an iconic brand such as Nike has in this retailer."
Over the years, Consolo and her team have been responsible for introducing dozens of businesses and organizations to Harlem, including Tribeca Pediatrics, Ottomanelli Brothers Wine & Burger Bar, H&R Block, Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care and Prevention, Children's Aid Society, Food Bank for NYC, Central Park North Orthodontics, Open Bright Pediatric Dentistry, AIDS Service Center NYC, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and theInternal Revenue Service.
