Manhattan, NY The national leasing and sales team of Faith Hope Consolo, chairman, and Arthur Maglio of Douglas Elliman's Retail Group has arranged a new home for The National Jazz Museum in Harlem at 58 West 129th St., between Lenox and Fifth Aves. The new location doubles the space of the revered cultural institution, founded in 1997, and places it on the first floor of a new mixed-use luxury condominium development located close to two booming retail corridors and abundant public transportation. The National Jazz Museum in Harlem will be expanding and relocating. "This museum has been a Harlem treasure for nearly two decades," said Consolo. "The ground level space will provide much greater visibility and access to visitors, which is critical in maintaining a thriving museum." Maglio said, "The timing could not be better for this larger and more convenient location. Not only is the area flourishing, the celebrity status of the museum has been significantly raised since its Director-At-Large, Jon Batiste, was named bandleader for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert just last month!" Neighboring businesses along the Lenox Avenue corridor include Staples, Planet Fitness, Cohen's Fashion Optical and M&T Bank. Among the many restaurants nearby are Chez Lucienne, Lenox Saphire and Corner Social, as well as the legendary Sylvia's and world-renowned Red Rooster. In addition, Harlem's first Whole Foods is opening on the corner of Lenox Ave. and 125th St. Consolo and Maglio exclusively represented Kane Ventures, developer of Uptown 58. The tenant was represented by Savills Studley.
