Community Board 7 / Manhattan hosts seminar on October 24

Five reporters and editors who write about and/or live on the Upper West Side will discuss recent issues concerning the neighborhood, including residential and commercial development, the retail environment, local schools, affordable housing, sidewalk cafes, congestion pricing and other topics, on Wednesday, October 24, 6:30-8 p.m. at the New-York Historical Society, 170 Central Park West (West 77th St.). Admission is free. Participating in the panel are New York Post executive editor Steve Cuozzo, whose popular columns include Realty Check and Free Range; Tom Acitelli, senior editor, New York Observer; Jhoanna Robledo, contributing editor, New York Magazine; and Ruth Katz, contributing editor, New York Home Magazine. Moderating the event is Christopher Moore, executive editor, Manhattan Media, which publishes the West Side Spirit, Westsider, Avenue Magazine, New York Family Magazine, Our Town, Chelsea Clinton and Our Town Downtown. The forum is being coordinated by the Board Development Committee of Community Board 7/Manhattan, which represents a district spanning West 59th St. to West 110th St., from Central Park to the Hudson River. Community Board 7's advisory responsibilities encompass issues germane to a neighborhood considered one of the most culturally and economically diverse in New York City.
