Collins named director at Builders Institute/Building & Realty Institute of Westchester and Mid-Hudson Region

Armonk, NY According to Albert Annunziata, executive director of Builders Institute/Building & Realty Institute of Westchester and the Mid-Hudson Region, Margaret Collins has been appointed as the organization’s new director of membership, advertising and communications.

Collins is skilled on the quantitative side of the creative process, valuing the need for, and the analysis of, critical information from advertisers and members alike.

“Margaret brings a depth and breadth of experience to this new position. Her sales and editorial skills are exceptional, with notable publishers as diverse as The Atlanta Journal Constitution, Harper & Row Publishers and The Civil War Monitor magazine,” said Annunziata.

“Margaret is truly a people-person. Her interpersonal skills have already made a big difference in our operations. In these few short weeks she has played a critical part in launching a major membership recruitment campaign and revitalizing our trade newspaper”, noted Annunziata.

Collins, has reached out to members in key sectors, to collectively determine how to better serve The Building & Realty Institute’s 800+ membership throughout Westchester and the Mid-Hudson Valley region.

“I feel fortunate to have this opportunity to contribute to membership growth at the BI/BRI as well as expanding their marketing and communications efforts,” said Collins. “The breadth and depth of the group is reflected in the vitality and relevance it has continued to maintain over 70 years. I’m delighted to be a part of it.”

The Building & Realty Institute is one the largest construction, development and real estate-related industry trade associations in New York State. Founded in 1946, the Westchester County, NY based organization has more than 1500 members, primarily in the Westchester/Mid-Hudson Valley region of the state. The BRI is supported by a multi-talented professional and consultant staff versed in all facets of the building industry: planning, engineering, law, insurance, environmental regulations and governmental relations on a state, county and local level. Their services extend to all facets of the Building and Realty industries.
