Colliers adds Goldsmith, Cilman, Apple and Ptacek to its New York City operations

New York, NY Colliers International has added Joshua Goldsmith as director, Zachary Cilman as associate director, and Yosef Apple and Robert Ptacek as associates to its New York City operations. “These four talented industry professionals are welcome additions to our growing brokerage team,” said Kim Brennan, COO of Colliers International’s Tri-State Region. “They bring a unique group of skill sets to our team, including a significant background working with multinational and international firms, the heart of our client base in New York City.” Goldsmith will focus on brokerage services, primarily representing tenants, advising a wide range of companies, from technology start-ups to multinational firms, including corporate, financial, legal, telecommunications, and technology, on developing and executing real estate strategies. He has a strong background in operational planning, strategic consulting, financial modeling, lease negotiations, with diversified market knowledge. Previously he served at Cushman & Wakefield, where he was involved in approximately one million square feet of transactions representing both tenants and landlords. Prior to becoming a real estate professional, Goldsmith worked in the technology industry. He holds a B.A. in Business and Psychology from the University of Rhode Island. Cilman will focus on brokerage services, with a specialization in representing and advising investors and occupiers. He has a strong background in new business development, strategy implementation, marketing, lease negotiation, financial analysis, market research, and consultation, having previously served at Cushman & Wakefield, where he negotiated more than $15 million of transactions. A lawyer by trade, Cilman clerked in the Division of Enforcement of the U.S. Commodities and Futures Trading Commission, and with the law firm of Butzel Long. He graduated with a degree in finance from Virginia Tech and holds a J.D. from the Catholic University of America. He is Chairman of the New York Steering Committee for the Virginia Tech Program in Real Estate and an active mentor with iMentor. Apple will be focusing on investment sales in New York. Most recently, Apple served as an intern with Old City Investment Partners, LLC, in New York. Prior to that, he spent more than five years completing rabbinical studies in Israel and the U.S. He is fluent in Yiddish and Hebrew. Ptacek will work in support of executive director Richard Charkham. Ptaceck earned a B.S. in Sports Business from Central Connecticut State University. He played professional basketball in the Czech Republic.
