CIBS presents Rising Star awards to Stratigos of Avison Young and DeLuca of Cushman & Wakefield

Woodbury, NY The Commercial Industrial Brokers Society (CIBS) of Long Island, one of Long Island’s largest commercial real estate brokers groups, honored Kevin Stratigos, an associate in the Melville office of Avison Young, and Thomas DeLuca, an associate at Cushman & Wakefield’s office in Melville, with its 2017 Rising Star Awards.

The awards presented November 9th at the CIBS Annual Meeting at the Fox Hollow Inn, recognize new, committed, and active sales people in the commercial real estate brokerage industry.

Stratigos joined Avison Young in 2015 as an associate broker specializing in landlord and tenant representation. A native Long Islander, he works with his father, Ted Stratigos, principal and managing director in Avison Young’s Melville office. The younger Stratigos, who won AY’s Young Gun Professional of the Year Award in 2015, is a 2014 graduate of Quinnipiac University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing. Since joining AY, he has participated in five leasing deals, including Professional Physical Therapy leases totaling 17,500 s/f, the sale of the Sunset Harbor Marina in Patchogue for $13 million, the leasing of three industrial buildings in Albertson totaling 18,000 s/f, a sublease of 7,060 square feet on behalf of BDO USA in Hauppauge and a lease for 15,000 s/f in Garden City for Risk Insurance.

DeLuca joined Cushman & Wakefield in June 2015 after four years as an account executive at Woodbury-based AriZona Iced Tea. He is a graduate of Hofstra University with a degree in Business Administration and Management. He is an associate in Cushman’s National Industrial Practice Group and represents corporations in their leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, consolidations, build-to-suit, and investment sales. He is part of a team that includes Executive Director Frank Frizalone, SIOR, and Director Nicholas Gallipoli. He has been involved in 24 transactions since joining Cushman including the recent leasing of the 108,000-square-foot former Briarcliff College building to Anheuser-Busch’s Blue Point Brewery, and AriZona Beverage’s sale of a 75,000-square-foot building in Pompano Beach, FL.
