CIBS honors Manoogian of CBRE and Horn of Schacker Realty Corp. with Rising Star Awards

Woodbury, NY The Commercial Industrial Brokers Society (CIBS) of Long Island honored Matt Manoogian, an associate in the Melville office of CBRE, and Jeff Horn, an account executive with Melville-based Schacker Realty Corp. with Rising Star Awards.

The awards presented October 26th, at the CIBS Annual Meeting at the Fox Hollow Inn, recognizes new, committed and active sales people in the commercial real estate brokerage industry.

Manoogian, who joined CBRE in October 2014, is a member of the CBRE Long Island Advisory & Transaction Services team headed by Martin Lamaze and Philip Heilpern, one of the top producing teams on Long Island. This year, Manoogian represented Cintas, the corporate uniform supplier, in a lease transaction at 12 Harbor Park Drive, Port Washington.

With a primary focus on tenant representation, leasing and sales, Manoogian gained extensive market knowledge as an intern at CC&T Real Estate Services in Charleston, SC, where he gathered and analyzed market research, managed client databases and worked with investors.

A resident of Manhasset, Manoogian holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from College of Charleston with a concentration in commercial real estate.

Horn entered the industrial/commercial real estate business two years ago after a long career as a certified public accountant, an executive recruiter and as a teacher of English as a second language in Japan and the Bronx.

Since becoming a broker, Horn successfully completed 24 industrial transactions and three office transactions, including the sale of a 40,000 s/f building at 114 Parkway Dr. S. Hauppauge; the lease of a 15,000 s/f Steel Equities building at 327 New South Rd, Hicksville and the lease of a 10,000 s/f laboratory building at 728 Larkfield Road, East Northport He also represented the purchaser of the 10,000 s/f flex building at 399 Farmingdale Rd, West Babylon.

CIBS was formed in 1992 out of the shared belief among the region’s leading brokers that the region needed a unified voice to advocate on behalf of professionalism, ethics and industry cohesion. Today, CIBS is a leading voice and advocate for commercial development in the Long Island market. Since its formation, CIBS has helped upgrade the industry by offering hundreds of educational programs, seminars and presentations; advocated professional standards and offered grievance resolution; provided informal mentoring relationships; raised tens of thousands of dollars for local charities; and created social settings in which colleagues have become friends, and competitors respected peers.
