Chen of Crystal Windows shares success strategies

Crystal Window & Door Systems executive vice president Steve Chen was the keynote speaker at the Queens College Business Forum. Chen, who guides the day-to-day operations of the Queens manufacturing firm started by his father, spoke to a group of over 100 prominent members of the New York business community and media about Crystal's experience with growth. New York City council member and mayoral candidate Tony Avella introduced Chen. Chen discussed the challenges Crystal faced in growing from an immigrant startup enterprise to its current status as a major manufacturer with national and international reach. Chen shared Crystal's unique challenges and solutions with the Forum attendees through numerous examples. He also discussed Crystal's strategies for succeeding in a global economy, including seeking new opportunities here and abroad, conducting pilot programs before major investments, leveraging strengths with new practices and partners, and giving back to the community.
