Chen of Crystal Window & Door Systems makes industry notables list

Steve Chen, executive vice president of Crystal Window & Door Systems, was recognized recently as one of the fenestration industry's rising stars. He was listed among Glass Magazine's "20 Under 40" young executives in the architectural glass field in the national publication's February 2008 issue. Steve Chen's specific accomplishments and an interview with the young executive are highlighted in Glass Magazine's print and online articles along with his biography and a photomontage. Glass Magazine, the publication of the National Glass Association, serves the manufacturers, suppliers and installers of architectural glass, curtain wall, and related high-end fenestration products. The "20 Under 40" annual recognition of young movers and shakers in the industry is in its fifth year; over 100 nominations were received this year. Steve Chen, son of company founder Thomas Chen, grew up in the window business. As he gained experience, he took over responsibility for sales and marketing as well as production operations for the company. Under his direction, Crystal's sales grew from $48.6 million in April 2005 to $62.1 million two years later. He also now oversees the strategic marketing efforts of Crystal's aluminum extrusion subsidiary.
