Certilman Balin names Stoiber of counsel

Elke Stoiber has been named of counsel in the real estate and commercial lending practice groups at Certilman Balin. She was formerly an associate. Stoiber represents clients in all aspects of commercial and residential real estate, with an emphasis on the representation of institutional lenders and government sponsored or guaranteed facilities. In 2008, the Long Island Development Corp. named Stoiber its Attorney of the Year for her role in providing significant contributions to Long Island small businesses and economic development. She earned her undergraduate degree from SUNY Empire State College and went on to graduate from Touro Law School in 2002, where she was awarded the school's award of excellence in the subject of Real Estate Transactions. Stoiber is admitted to practice law in the state of New York and is a member of the Nassau County and New York State Bar Associations. A member of the Steuben Society of America, she is conversational in German. Stoiber volunteers provides pro bono services for several organizations including the Nassau County Bar Association Pro Bono Senior Citizen Law Clinic, Nassau County Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project Mortgage Foreclosure Clinic and the Suffolk County Pro Bono Project. She also serves as a mentor in the Nassau County Academy of Law's mentorship program and the Lawyers Involved with Kids' Education ("LIKE") program. She also volunteers with the Little Shelter Animal Rescue Adoption Center and the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island.
