CCIM 2010 officers inducted

The New York Metro CCIM chapter board of directors held a planning meeting for the 2010 year. Officers were inducted for the 2010 term. The first planned event will be on March 26 in Manhattan. The morning session will teach Advanced excel Techniques for application in commercial real estate. The afternoon of March 26 will be a portfolio review session. Candidates for the CCIM designation need to present a portfolio of transactions showing how they have employed CCIM skills. That session is open to all candidates, students or aspirational commercial real estate practitioners. Subsequent events for the year will includes sessions on changing economic dynamics, adapting new technologies, investment analysis software and negotiation techniques.

When Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) were first part of commercial real estate risk management, it was the lenders driving this requirement. When a borrower wanted a loan on a property, banks would utilize a list of “Approved Consultants” to order the report on both refinances and purchases.
