CBL & Assoc. sells 6.08 acre development site to Hawkins Cos.

According to CBL & Associates Properties, Inc., the company has recently completed the sale of a 6.08 acre outparcel at Northwoods Mall to commercial real estate developer, Hawkins Cos., for the development of a 50,000 s/f Sportsman's Warehouse.
The former AMC Theater location on the southeast corner of the mall's ring road will be demolished to make way for the new store. Sportsman's Warehouse is scheduled to open spring 2009.
Hawkins Companies is a Boise, ID-based commercial real estate development company. The company and its predecessors have developed over 180 projects in 22 states in excess of 9 million s/f of commercial retail space. The development of Sportsman's Warehouse at the Northwoods Mall shopping complex marks Hawkins Companies' third development project in the state of South Carolina.
CBL is one of the largest and most active owners and developers of malls and shopping centers in the U.S. CBL owns, holds interests in or manages 163 properties, including 86 regional malls/open-air centers. The properties are located in 27 states and total 85 million s/f including 2.1 million s/f of non-owned shopping centers managed for third parties.
