Bohemia, NY To meet increasing demand for its services, P.W. Grosser Consulting, Inc. (PWGC) has hired Doreen Carlson.
As a new PWGC associate, Carlson will serve as a senior project manager and joins a growing PWGC team that is taking advantage of growing client demand and the resurgent economy.
For the last 10 years, Carlson worked as a Pretreatment Program Coordinator at Suffolk County’s Department of Public Works. During her tenure at the county Carlson also held the titles of Industrial Waste Pretreatment Program Specialist and Industrial Waste Pretreatment Enforcement coordinator.
“We are very excited about the addition of Doreen to our roster of professionals,” said PWGC president Paul Grosser, PhD, PE. “Given her experience and expertise, she will enhance our company and her contributions will help PWGC grow. We welcome her back into the PWGC family.”
Given the New York Metropolitan region’s increased focus on environmental issues, the addition of Carlson strengthens an already vibrant Environmental Compliance Unit at PWGC. At her new position, Carlson will be working in coordination with PWGC vice president Theresa Colabella, PE.
“The addition of Doreen is an asset,” said PWGC senior vice president Gary Mazza. “Her experience and expertise strengthens our unit and will enable future growth.”
With her hiring this begins Carlson’s second stint with PWGC. In fact, prior to her tenure at Suffolk County’s Department of Public Works, Carlson worked with PWGC for six years as an environmental scientist.
“I’m excited to once again be on the PWGC team and back working for the company that I learned so much from back when I just started in the environmental field,” said Carlson. “I’m eager to face new challenges and hope that the knowledge I have gained from my past experience in municipal service will benefit the firm and allow PWGC to better serve its clients.”
