Cannon appoints Deninger as associate principal

According to Cannon Design, an internationally ranked architectural, engineering and planning firm, Lynne Deninger, AIA, LEED AP, has been promoted to associate principal. With 22 years of experience planning and designing various building types, Deninger has developed a wide-ranging expertise in the design of university architecture, along with a strong commitment to integrated sustainable strategies. Since joining the firm in 2006, she has specialized in the programming, planning and design for student residence facilities. Deninger is also the New England region's Higher Education Practice Leader, and provides both regional and national expertise for Cannon Design's higher education practice. Her recently completed work includes Worcester Polytechnic Institute's East Hall, Simmons College's School of Management, University of Wisconsin at Whitewater Residence Hall, and a residential master plan at California State University at Channel Islands. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Deninger is active in the Boston Society of Architects and is a regular presenter at national professional conferences. She was recently appointed the sustainability director for the Association of College and University Housing Officials-International (ACUHO-I) executive board, was recently was named a Top 10 Architect from Boston's Women's Business. Cannon Design is ranked among the leading international firms in planning and design for healthcare, science and technology, education, sports and recreation, and government clients. At present, the firm employs a staff of 800, delivering services in 17 offices throughout North America, as well as abroad in Shanghai, China, and Mumbai, India.
