Moderated by Studio Ma Principal & Co-Founder, Christiana Moss, FAIA
Thursday, June 24th, 6:00pm ET/3:00 pm PT
Virtual via Zoom
If college is meant as an equal platform for all to move forward, how do we recognize and surmount the unequal access faced by so many students on campus?
On June 24th, Studio Ma invites you to join a diverse panel of student leaders as they provide their perspectives on addressing this important question. Maria Hinojosa, award-winning journalist and founder of the Futuro Media Group, will provide opening remarks – setting the tone for a virtual discussion on how campuses may become more equitable, with a focus on challenges facing underrepresented students. The panelists include:
- Vianna Vo, Executive President, Associated Students of Stanford University
- Lamar Richards, Student Body President, UNC Chapel Hill
- Naty Rico, Disability Cultural Center Coordinator, University of Arizona
- Ben Perez, Manager of Physical Access Compliance, UC Berkeley
Moderated by Studio Ma Principal & Co-Founder, Christiana Moss, FAIA, the event will feature a lively discussion among the emerging influencers and shapers of higher-education campus experience representing diverse perspectives. These influential panelists will discuss the role of the university and new directions reimagining facilities and spaces that can promote equity and justice, today and in the future.
