New York Law School presents webinar on "Housing Law and Policy During COVID-19"

New York Law School (NYLS) will host a webinar this Monday, June 1 at 2:00 p.m. addressing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on housing law and policy in New York.

Topics will include questions surrounding the courts, evictions, rent collection, and lease obligations, along with legal and policy measures being proposed at the federal, state, and local levels to avert evictions and homelessness. This event is part of NYLS’s continuing legal education offerings and is co-sponsored by NYLS’s Impact Center for Public Interest Law, Center for New York City Law, and Center for Real Estate Studies.

The event will be hosted by professor Andrew Scherer, policy director for the Impact Center for Public Interest Law and visiting associate professor of law. Professor Scherer previously served as the executive director of legal services NYC, the largest nonprofit exclusively devoted to civil legal services in the United States.
