Buffalo mayor and Save Our Streets to hold Landlord Training Workshop Nov. 7

Mayor Byron Brown, in conjunction with the Save Our Streets Task Force, will offer free Landlord Training and Workshop Sessions on Friday, November 7 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Training Sessions will be located at Belmont Shelter Corporation, 1195 Main St. Free parking is also available.
Landlords will have the opportunity to enroll in beginner training sessions, which enhances their knowledge of obtaining funding sources for repairs, inspection procedures, eviction proceedings, fair housing, leases and? tenant screening, learn how to detect and remove drug activity from their property, the role of the police and changes in the City of Buffalo Housing Court and lead poisoning prevention.
The advanced workshop series will run simultaneously with the training session. The prerequisite of the workshop is to first attend the all day training session. Attendees of the workshop may register for courses such as Building Codes, Maintenance & Permits, Property Management 101, Evictions 101 and Financing Investment Property.
