River Edge, NY Brandon J. Broderick, Attorney at Law, will be forming a new commercial and residential real-estate legal practice, expanding its portfolio of legal services.
Matthew Dank, a seasoned attorney who focuses on residential and commercial real estate, will lead the practice. With 15-years’ experience managing a real-estate legal practice in Bergen County, Dank has effectively represented thousands of clients throughout New Jersey. He will help buyers and sellers navigate what is for many the biggest financial transaction of their lives.
“I’m delighted to welcome Matthew to the firm,” said CEO Brandon J. Broderick. “He brings a sophisticated understanding of real-estate transactions involving the purchase and sale of properties. More importantly, he’s a compassionate attorney who understands that buying or selling a property is more than just a financial transaction: It’s an emotional experience. Matthew has great powers of empathy and develops a close rapport with clients that enables successful transactions, both emotionally and financially.”
At the Brandon J. Broderick law firm, Dank will call upon the firm’s skilled attorneys and vast resources to ensure that clients have the best legal representation possible. Dank is also an avid conservationist who works to help preserve open land. His in-depth real-estate experience adds to Brandon J. Broderick’s already established practices in personal injury law, employment law, worker’s compensation law and business litigation.
“Our new practice in residential and commercial real estate will offer superior legal advice to clients,” said Broderick. “Clients will benefit from being represented by a firm that has settled nearly $1 billion in injury claims under the most adversarial of circumstances. Our success in personal injury negotiations will translate into successful real estate transactions for our clients since we clearly understand how to handle tough transactions.”
The law firm is excited to be launching the real-estate practice, he added, since it is typically less adversarial than other areas of law, such as personal injury cases. In real estate law, all the parties seek the same outcome, which is to guide and help buyers and sellers achieve their goals. The firm, which along with New Jersey and New York also operates in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, and Ohio, is evolving into a billable-hour practice and this new additional field of law will aid in that transition, said Broderick.
After serving a clerkship in Bergen County, Dank worked at a statewide land trust, coordinating federal, state, and local funding to acquire lands for public use and to protect land for New Jersey residents. Following his time at the conservancy, he opened his own real-estate legal practice in Bergen County, where he leveraged his knowledge of land acquisition and applied it to residential real estate. He enjoys helping first-time buyers purchase a home in which to raise a family, and aiding sellers bidding farewell to a house they’ve lived in for decades. At Brandon J. Broderick, Dank looks forward to assisting buyers and sellers from a wider geographic area.
“I’m excited to join Brandon J. Broderick at this point in my career,” said Dank. “I had my own practice for many years, so joining a major law firm filled with esteemed attorneys and unlimited resources will enable me to service more clients effectively.”
