Boerum Hill’s development Bergen surpasses 70% sold

Brooklyn, NY According to Avdoo, over 70% of residences at Bergen are now in contract, a remarkable milestone for the thoughtfully designed Boerum Hill development. Created in collaboration with renowned AD100 architecture firm Taller Frida Escobedo and Brooklyn-based design firm Workstead, Bergen redefines urban living by blurring the lines between indoors and out. Intimate and elegantly crafted interiors paired with private outdoor spaces, a residents-only park designed by DXA Studio and landscape designer Patrick Cullina, and 14,500 s/f of curated interior amenities offer a balanced and elevated city home experience.

Bergen spans four levels, accessible via a cylindrical totem staircase, the 14,500 s/f of interior amenities are programmed around health, wellness, and the arts. Amenties feature a fully-equipped gym, pottery studio, private movie theater and a dog washing station.

Residents also have access to 12,000 s/f of exterior amenities, including a lush private garden off of Dean St. and two common rooftop parks.

Since launching sales in May 2024, 74 of the 105 homes have gone into contract at the building. Buyers are drawn to Bergen’s sense of community, amenities, design, and attention to detail that nurture creativity, support families, and welcome first-time homeowners alike. Approximately 85% of the buyers at Bergen currently live in the NY metro area, with 20% relocating from their current accommodations in the Boerum Hill neighborhood. Bergen has also sold the highest percentage of units than any other new development project in the area.

“Reaching this sales milestone so quickly speaks volumes about the unique appeal of Bergen,” said Shlomi Avdoo, CEO and founder of Avdoo. “We’re thrilled to welcome our first residents this August, marking the beginning of a vibrant and connected community that truly sets this building apart from any other in New York City.”

The building’s angled façade invites natural light and air to flow throughout each residence, creating a serene and airy ambiance. Featuring 53 floor plans with ceiling heights up to 12 ft., double-glazed casement windows, and wide-plank white oak flooring, the interiors are thoughtfully crafted to feel both intimate and expansive. A warm, tranquil atmosphere is achieved through a palette of richly layered finishes including earth tones, soft textures, custom detailing, and natural materials that will gracefully patina over time. Embracing a connection to the outdoors, 75% of residences offer private outdoor space, while select homes are crowned with private rooftop terraces complete with plunge pools.
